There’ll  be cooking demonstrations and sustainable garden displays and as it is school holidays there is heaps for the kids to do and what better way to encourage our next generation of gardeners!

We’ll be in marquee 24 and would love to see you!

Water - our precious resource

While we had a reasonably wet winter, we still received below average run off into our dams. The driest winter on record in 2010 left our catchments extremely dry so even when the rains did come, they were soaked up by the soil, which left us needing a lot more rainfall for the water to eventually find its way into the dams.

With what may well be another long hot summer ahead, we can all play our part by watering responsibly. The Water Corporation have released a "Target 60 Garden Survival Guide" to help us do our bit and still have a beautiful garden.

To help you still target every drop, we have put together some handy tips to save water this summer.

Waterwise tips for spring

  • Water your garden only when it needs it
  • Upgrade your irrigation in time for summer
  • Choose waterwise plants
  • Mulch your garden

The water Corporation is a fantastic resource to help us be water concious and save money!
